More about Kari…

Personal Life.

Kari has been married to her sweet husband Tim since right after they graduated from college in 2009. They went on their honeymoon to Mexico and stayed for 2 years working as missionaries teaching English as a second language and helped to build up a new church in a small Mayan village. Kari has three amazing daughters, Sadie, Mikyah and Tessa. For fun, she loves hiking with her family and hosting friends.

Professional Life.

Kari took the long road to becoming a midwife, but she wouldn’t change a thing about it. In high school, she had an inspiring biology teacher who ignited her love of science. While in college she started to explore health care careers and shadowed doctors, nurses, PA’s, etc. That’s when she first heard about Certified Nurse Midwives and she knew she had found a fit. She has always been fascinated with the miracle and biology of pregnancy, labor and birth.

She finished her degree in biology at Miami University in 2009. In 2013 she graduated from Capital University with her Bachelors in nursing and in 2018 from Frontier University with her Masters in Nursing in Midwifery.
